The product name really depends on the composition of the cargo. It will most probably be an Annex I cargo. Therefore, the name "Mixed Aromatics" only, should never be accepted as the correct product name. It can be accepted as a tradename when it is followed by information such as: "Marpol Annex I, gasoline blending stock; naphta; reformate; petroleum distillate ... or other relevant information" indicating that this cargo is an Annex I cargo
In some cases the cargo will be carried as Annex II and the correct product name shall be a name from IBC code chapter 17. For example "Pyrolysis gasoline (containing benzene)"; "Xylenes/ethylbenzene (10% or more) mixture" or perhaps "Benzene and mixtures having 10% benzene or more". Perhaps it will be necessary to arrange for a Tripartite Agreement for the trade name of the mixture
Other tradenames could be: "HYDROTREATED C7-C9 Cut (Mixed aromatics)"; "ESSENCE COUPE C7+ / CUT C7+"; "ESSENCE débenzenisée"; "C8 / C9 Aromatics"; "BTX" and many more...
